In Missouri, state treasurer Sarah Steelman revoked conditional approval of an application by Show Me Ethanol for up to $6 million in loans from the Big Missouri linked deposit program. The treasure said that Show Me, which originally applied in 2006, had not resolved conflicts of interest caused by the presence of elected officials among its investors and supporters. Steelman recently lost a bitterly contested Missouri Republican gubernatorial primary in which she opposed ethanol subsidies. M
